Buzzer dead, door won't release, or one apartment can't buzz anyone in? We repair and replace apartment buzzer systems in all five boroughs. Same-day service available. Licensed and insured, since 2005.
The street panel, the apartment buzzers, the door release and the wiring between them. We handle all of it.
Apartments not ringing, no audio, or a dead panel. We trace the fault, whether it is a failed call button, corroded wiring, a blown transformer or a bad board, and fix it on site.
Tenants press the button and nothing happens at the door. We repair or replace the electric strike, the relay and the release wiring, and adjust the door so it actually latches.
When the old panel is beyond repair or parts are no longer made, we install a new buzzer entry system and reconnect every apartment. Brands we install include Comelit, Aiphone, 2N, Alpha Communications and DoorKing.
Swap a button-and-speaker panel for a video intercom so tenants see who is at the door, and can answer and buzz people in from their phone. We check on the site visit whether the new system can run on your existing wiring.
Most buzzer failures come down to a few parts. We confirm the cause on site before any work starts.

Call (917) 565-0579In most NYC apartment buildings, a broken buzzer can lead to an HPD violation. Here is what owners need to know.
Under NY Multiple Dwelling Law §50-a, apartment buildings built or converted after January 1, 1968 need self-closing, self-locking entrance doors. Buildings with eight or more apartments must also have an intercom at the main entrance that lets each apartment talk to the visitor and release the door. In older buildings, the owner must install one when a majority of tenants request it in writing.
The building owner. Tenants can report a broken buzzer or intercom to 311, and HPD can inspect and issue a violation that the owner has to correct. Under the Multiple Dwelling Law, failing to install or maintain a required intercom is a misdemeanor.
We find the actual fault, give you a clear written quote before any work, and leave the system tested and working so the building is back in compliance. We work directly with managing agents and co-op and condo boards.
If your buzzer is broken, tell your landlord or managing agent first, since the repair is the owner's responsibility. They can call us at (917) 565-0579 and we'll schedule the repair.
From your call to a working front door. Fast, and done right the first time.
Tell us the address and what is failing: no ringing, no audio, door not releasing, or the whole panel.
A licensed technician tests the panel, the apartment stations and the door release to find the actual fault.
You approve a clear quote for the repair or the replacement before anything starts. No surprises on the bill.
We test every apartment and the door release before we leave the building.
Before and after, from buildings we serviced.

From co-op boards, managing agents and owners across the city.
"Working in a pre-war building is not easy, but they made it seem so."
"They held a special meeting with my coop board to explain the functionality."
"Our intercom stopped working. The cause was not evident. Rather than guess wildly Luca stopped by to diagnose the problem and ordered the correct parts."
We work only in New York City, so our technicians know its buildings: pre-war walk-ups, converted brownstones, co-ops and mid-size rentals. Recent jobs include Midtown, Kips Bay, the Upper East Side, the Upper West Side, Harlem, the Financial District and the Bronx.
It depends on what failed and how many apartments are on the system. Replacing one bad part costs far less than a new panel. We diagnose on site and give you a written quote before any work starts, so there are no surprises on the bill.
The intercom side is working, so the fault is at the door: a worn or misaligned electric strike, a failed release relay, damaged release wiring, or a door that no longer closes far enough to latch. We fix the hardware and adjust the door so it releases every time.
Often, yes. Many current buzzer and video intercom systems are built to run on existing building wiring. We test the wiring on the site visit and tell you if any runs need replacing before you commit.
The landlord or building owner. Tenants should report the problem to the landlord first. If it isn't fixed, they can file a complaint with 311, and HPD can inspect and issue a violation.
Same-day service is available, and most repairs are finished in a single visit because we carry common parts for the major brands on the truck. Call (917) 565-0579 and we'll book the fastest available time.
Yes. We upgrade audio buzzer panels to video intercoms with mobile app access, so tenants see visitors before they open the door and can let them in from anywhere.
Yes. Much of our buzzer and intercom work is for co-ops, condos and managed rental buildings. We explain the options to the board, put the quote in writing, and keep the managing agent updated through the job.
