Key fob, card, keypad and mobile entry for NYC apartment buildings, co-ops and offices. Designed to NYC code, installed and supported by one local team since 2005.
Control who gets in, at which door and when. Stop re-keying the building every time a tenant moves out or an employee leaves.
Fobs for tenants and staff at the front door, lobby, gym, laundry room or roof. A lost fob gets switched off in the system instead of changing the locks.
Card readers and PIN keypads for offices, back entrances and service doors. Combine both at the same door where you need a second layer of security.
Users open doors with their phone, and managers grant or revoke access from a web or mobile dashboard without visiting the building. Platforms we install include Brivo.
Reader not responding, door not locking, software out of date. We repair existing systems, upgrade old ones, and tie access control into your intercom and cameras.
Most buildings use more than one. Here is where each works best.
Tell us your doors and users, and we'll recommend the right setup on a free site survey.
Call (917) 565-0579An access control system that blocks a fire exit or mishandles tenant data is a liability. Every system we install is planned around these rules.
Electrically locked exit doors must let people leave without a key or special knowledge. Magnetic locks have to release when power is lost, and access-controlled exit doors are set up with a request-to-exit release on the inside and to unlock when the fire alarm goes off. We design each door to the NYC Building Code.
Residential buildings that use fobs, cards, apps or biometrics must get tenants' express consent, collect only the data the system needs, delete authentication data within 90 days and never sell it. Owners also can't require a smart access system to enter a tenant's own apartment.
Most fob readers stop working when the power goes out, so we plan for it with battery backup where it matters and a mechanical key override. Magnetic locks release on power loss, so nobody is trapped inside.
We provide the written proposal and documentation a co-op board or managing agent needs to approve the job, and explain the system to the board before installation.
A planned install, with the hardware, software and schedule agreed before anything goes on the wall.
Tell us which doors, how many users and what problem you are solving.
We check the doors, frames, power, wiring and network at every access point.
You get a written proposal covering hardware, software and any monthly fees.
We install, set up fobs, cards and user access, and train your manager to run it.
Keypads, fob readers and entry panels from our recent NYC jobs. Systems we install include Brivo, Keri Systems, Honeywell, ZKTeco, Keyscan and Aritech.

From managing agents, boards and businesses that rely on their doors every day.
"He was able to pin point the problem and resolve it within 20 minutes."
"NYC Intercom did a great job with our access controls in Midtown. We could not ask for a better experience because they were on-time, within our budget, and they performed quality work."
"A great asset to us in real estate management."
We work only in New York City: office floors in Midtown, co-ops on the Upper West Side, rental buildings in the Bronx, and mixed-use buildings in Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.
It depends on the number of doors, the type of credential, the door hardware and whether the software is cloud-managed. After a free site survey you get a written proposal with every cost spelled out, including any monthly fees.
Key fobs are the most common choice for apartment buildings because they are cheap to replace and easy to switch off. Card access suits offices that already use ID badges. Mobile access removes physical credentials and lets you grant access remotely. Many systems support more than one method at the same door.
Usually, yes. We integrate access control with your intercom and security cameras so the front door works as one system instead of three.
With a cloud-managed system, yes. You add or deactivate fobs, cards and phones from a web dashboard without visiting the building. On-site systems are managed from a computer at the property.
Yes. Under NYC Local Law 63 of 2021, owners of residential buildings need tenants' express consent before collecting data through a smart access system, must delete authentication data within 90 days, and can't sell it.
Many installations are finished within a day. Buildings with several doors take longer, and you get the schedule with the proposal.
Yes. We work with managing agents, co-op and condo boards and office managers, and provide the written proposal and documentation a board needs to approve the job.
